You’re In Good Hands.

Initial Evaluation:

At your initial evaluation, you will meet with one of our practitioners. The appointment is typically 45 mins to an hour. At this appointment the practitioner will evaluate your needs and requirements, this is often based on a referral from a physician or physical therapist or Dr order was already written up with a general caption of what is needed. Our practitioners will take into account your lifestyle, the condition of your affected body party, your strengths and limitations and your goals. Once their assessment is complete they will present to you a treatment plan. This treatment plan will outline what they recommend is the best device to suit your needs. At this time they might also take measurements, a scan or casting of the affected area to insure we provide the best fit device(s).

Before you leave your appointment if our administrative staff does not have a financial estimate ready for you, we will call you with that information and receive a yes or no from you, the patient, before we begin fabrication and/or ordering of that device. They will also schedule your delivery appointment at this time.

Fitting/Delivery Appointment:

At your fitting and delivery appointment you will see our practitioner again. This appointment takes about an hour. During this appointment the practitioner will test your new device(s) on you, checking for fit and function and making any adjustments necessary to ensure it is a perfect fit. Please do not hesitate to let the practitioner know if anything feels off. They want the device to fit you and your needs perfectly. The only way they can do this is with communication from you, the patient. We also ask if you are being fit with foot orthotics (FOs) or ankle foot orthosis (AFOs) to please bring any shoes you plan to wear with the FOs or AFOs. This will help ensure the device(s) fit properly in your most worn shoes.

Follow up and adjustment appointment:

At this appointment the practitioner will ask questions to make sure the device is doing its job. If any adjustments are needed they will complete them at this appointment. Do not hesitate to call our office if issues arise as we strive to provide the best care to our patients and want them to benefit the most from their device(s).
